From degradation to graduation

Degradation is an experience we all go through during our life time. Knocks and falls can lead to periods of insecurity, and try as we might, we are unable to rebuild for a time. However, this phase can, if we allow it, become one of our greatest learning curves as it will give rise to a new you – a new identity, a new belief system, a new level of self-love – all of which serve your Higher Self and your life purpose.

But how to move through it? How do we go from degradation to graduation at a new level? This is achieved by working through the core issues from a perspective of self-belief, love and forgiveness. We are not perfect. We were never meant to be perfect. But we can, and indeed we must, start to love and forgive ourselves for who we are right now – with all our imperfections. It is the only way forward.

Try looking in the mirror and saying ‘I love you and I forgive you’ while looking directly in your eyes. It is a bloody tough thing to do. Feel the anger, doubt, indecision and insults rise to the surface. Be aware of them, acknowledge them and allow them to move slowly from you. Write them down, if it helps, and burn the paper afterwards.

Now go back to the mirror and say again ‘I love you and I forgive you’. Repeat this daily for a week. Eventually your Soul will start to listen and to believe you, allowing new strength, courage and wisdom to shine through.

You are your own best friend. Take good care of you as you negotiate this life path. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
