Former journalist, Majella Reid, has published The Spirit Silencer: The adventures of JJ Joyce, leprechaun of Tara, a fantasy eBook adventure for readers aged 7-12, and all who enjoy a touch of magic.
The adventure follows JJ Joyce, a young leprechaun from Tara, who leaves his magical world and enters the Earth World. There he joins forces with nine-year-old Alfie McDonnell as they embark on a mission to save humanity from a deadly virus. A virus that is part of a sinister plot by the evil entity, Kiunas – the Spirit Silencer.
While the story is an adventure rooted in fantasy, it also explores themes of grief, loss, love, friendship and courage.
About Majella
A former journalist, Majella holds a degree in Journalism from Dublin City University and an MBA from the University of Galway.
She has previously had adult fiction and memoir short stories published in anthologies. She is a member of the Longford Writers Group.
Majella lives in County Longford in the midlands of Ireland, and is a lover of tarot and astrology.
